Midnight Mania

ABOUT THE FILM
In 2005, six friends road-tripped to a remote cabin in the woods with deadly results.  A year later, the sole survivor met directrix Devi Snively in a bar and offered the rights to his story for a case of beer and a role in the movie. TRIPPIN’ is that movie.  So prepare yourself for a little sex, a little gore, and some good and bad times with some good and bad buds. “It’s The Big Chill for a Kevin Smith generation with a puppet!”  Source: deviantpictures.com/trippinmovie
Mix the EVIL DEAD and ARMY OF DARKNESS films with the BLAIR WITCH PROJECT throw in a View Askew/Kevin Smith level of pot smoking and add a puppet and you get TRIPPIN’.  Source: Kat Anderson, lead programmer.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
With film titles such as TEENAGE BIKINI VAMPIRE and CONFEDERATE ZOMBIE MASSACRE!  it’s no wonder writer/directrix Devi Snively’s signature “romantic musical horror comedy” genre has been likened to everything from the silent classics of Buster Keaton to EC Comics to Tim Burton and beyond.
Devi (pronounced DAY-vee) is an adjunct professor at the University of Notre Dame where she teaches her always over- enrolled course “Cultures of Fear:  Anthropological Perspectives of the Horror Film,” the impetus for her upcoming book.  She has worked professionally as a ballerina, Spanish translator, hair model, book editor, video game writer, documentary filmmaker, newspaper columnist and video editor.  She’s been decidedly unprofessional in several other careers.
In 2007 she was selected as one of 8 participants to the prestigious AFI Directing Workshop For Women (DWW).  To date she’s written multiple feature-length screenplays, directed 9 short films and a feature-length documentary, and has just finished shooting her first feature-length narrative, trippin’.  Her last 3 short films have been officially selected to screen at over 100 festivals worldwide and garnered numerous awards and critical acclaim.
