92 minutes/US/English / Feature Documentary/Fandom
Directors: Mallory Battista and Megan Schuyler

ABOUT THE FILM:     THE WIZARD ROCKUMENTARY: A MOVIE ABOUT ROCKING AND ROLWING documents the wizard rock community during the year leading up to the release of the final Harry Potter book (July 2007), the rise of wizard rock bands from less than 30 to over 450, and their journey from obscurity to international media coverage. Their story will inspire you to take a chance, do what you love, and see what magic happens. With footage of numerous wizard rock shows beginning at HPEF's Lumos 2006 this documentary delves into the world of wizard rock from the viewpoint of fans, for fans. Wizard rock is a music movement unlike any other, raising thousands of dollars for literacy programs and other non-profits, and inspiring kids to be as fearless as Harry in their creativity.     Enter a world where music is magic, love is power, and reading is cool.    Source: filmmaker

ABOUT THE DIRECTORS:     Mallory Battista (Hogwarts House: Gryffindor) is a writer and graphic art enthusiast who works for an art gallery/bookstore while pursuing her own creative endeavors (like this one) on the side. She graduated from Washington State University as the Outstanding Graduate of Entrepreneurship, with a BA in Business Administration / Entrepreneurship. She recently finished her first novel and sells her art locally. She has also helped Megan with several of her projects, including taking still photos, designing packaging/promotional material, and other important stuff, like holding the boom mic. Aside from creative input and interviewing skills, her main contributions in the shooting of this movie are being the getaway driver and other important stuff, like holding the boom mic.
Megan Schuyler (Hogwarts House: Ravenclaw) is a producer/director and lead editor for the Nonfiction Division of North by Northwest, one of the largest production companies in Washington State. Recently, she and her fiance started their own photography and videography business called Rogue Heart Media, where she continues to work on side projects of personal passion and DIY spirit. New documentary projects are must definitely on the horizon.
They are twin sisters and best friends, and filming THE WIZARD ROCKUMENTARY continues to stand out as one of the coolest experiences of their lives.   Source: filmmaker
